| Career in Mechanical Engineering |
| Mechanical Engineering is evergreen and much needed discipline of engineering. With Mechanical Engineering background one can even specialize in Aeronautical Engineering at postgraduate level. It is truly wide based and there are always opportunities in mechanical engineering.
Mechanical branch is offered in most of the engineering colleges and universities. For those who are not able to get into the regular engineering courses. AMIME is the best alternative option. IIAEIT is a recognized centre of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IME) for training, leading to the degree and diploma equivalent programmes of the IME. |
| ABOUT INSTITUTION OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (INDIA) The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India) was established in 1914 and it is one of the oldest professional institutions in the country. |
| OBJECTIVE OF THE INSTITUTE |
| To promote, advance, update knowledge business and practices of mechanical engineering profession. Apart from training the fresh students, the institute is helping working people & others to acquire engineering qualification and improve their career opportunities. |
| ABOUT THE COURSE |
Associate membership examinations are conducted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India) and a pass in these examinations is recognized by the government of India as equivalent to degree & diploma in mechanical engineering of Indian Universities.
Candidates with AMIME qualifications are eligible to apply for any job in government, public & private sectors. They are also eligible for pursuing post graduation degrees. |
| SCOPE AND PROSPECTES AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COURSE |
| A pass in section A and section B of Associate Membership examinations of the IME is treated at par with a degree in mechanical engineering from an Indian University for recruitment to superior posts and services under Central Government. Students who have completed this course are eligible for appearing GATE examination conducted for admission to post graduate courses. A number of students after completing the course have gone abroad for further studies and some are occupying responsible posts in private and public sectors.
